4 Yr Old Program Oct 3 Start Date

The 4 yr old program will start on Oct 3, 2020 at the Grant Fuhr arena at 10:15 am.

Please ensure you have read the protocols currently in place for the facilities.  (Masks are to be worn in the facility by all participant and spectators, it is recommended that only one guardian per participant is in attendance for each session.  Players are to come dress in their hockey gear into the facilities and can have their skates put on either in the dressing room or on the chairs outside of the dressing rooms).

A Jersey will be handed out to the player at the start of the practice.

If you are interested in helping out on the ice during the session, please email the U7 Division Director (  Please note on ice helpers are on the ice at their own liability, and will need to wear a mask at all times while on the ice.



SGMHA 4 Yr Old Program is open only families that reside within SGMHA Boundaries.   Players must be 4 yrs old as of Dec 31 to be able to register for the program.

The 4 Yr Old Program

  • Maximum of 30 registrations per session (registration based on first come basis, no exceptions)
  • Paid instructor for each session (all sessions will run each Sat Oct 3, 2020  - Mar 13, 2021
  • Program will focus on skating skills
  • Players will be issued a Tim Horton’s Jersey and socks to use during the season (jersey’s to be returned at the end of the season).
  • Players will not be registered under Hockey Alberta, so participation in the program will be at their own liability.  (SGMHA, SGMHA directors, SGMHA Instructors, City of Spruce Grove, Transalta Tri Leisure Centre cannot be held liable for any injury incurred during the process of this program).

Alberta Health Daily Checklist

Prior to any ice session that a participant (player, goalie, on ice official , off ice official), they are to review the Alberta Daily Checklist. If they answer YES to any of the questions, they are not to attend the ice session.
