Just to clarify, Hockey Alberta employs a 6 tier strategy for hockey leagues across the province. They have guidelines on how associations should tier based on the number of teams they have. That said, please see our SGMHA U11 Breakdown below:
Tier 1: (AA) SG401
Tier 2: SG402 and SG403 equalized
Tier 3: SG404
Tier 4: SG405 and SG406 equalized
Tier 5: SG407 and SG408 equalized
Tier 6: SG409

Players will be added to the team rosters on the website later today. Please check the team home page for any information posted by the coach while the teams are being set up. Practices will start this week. Once you have accepted the invite to the team app, you should have the practice schedule up to Oct 1.

Welcome to the U11 Division for the 2021-2022 Season.
We are still looking for U11 coaches for the 2021/22 season. Please consider this much needed volunteer position in order to help our organization have a successful year. If you are interested, please complete the coaches application in the link below and return by email to email@example.com as soon as possible.
Player registration will open on May 15, 2021, please review the information on the Registration tab prior to May 15, 2021 so that you have the most up to date information.

The U11 Division is comprised of players that are 9 & 10 years old as of Dec 31, 2021.
The U11 Division will host 4 pre-skates prior to evaluations. Once evaluations are completed, participants will be placed on a team based on their evaluations rankings. Pre-skates can start as early as the last weekend in August. All teams are made up of a maximum of 17 players and 2 goalies.
For this year SGMHA will be embarking on a new format for the U11 Tier 1 team (U11AA team), which will include further commitment for players that are registered for this team. The U11 division generally has one shared practice per week and one game on the weekend.
U11 teams participate in the EFHL league for game play during the season which typically runs the first weekend in October to the second weekend in March.
Full hockey player equipment is required for all sessions. Please refer to the Parent Portal link for more information on equipment requirements.
