Prep Skates are scheduled over the following weekends:

August 23/24
August 29 - Sept 1

Prep skates are not mandatory however all players are highly encouraged to participate.

Evaluation information

Evaluations for u9 will be held over the following weekends:

Sept 6/7
Sept 13/14

Our Evaluations are run by Sports Evaluations, and all communication on ice times for Evaluations will come directly from them (NOTE: It will NOT be in TeamLinkt like Prep Skates).

Each player will skate 4 times over the course of 4 days, it is not uncommon for your players Group Number to change each day so please pay close attention to the Sports Evaluation Emails as you will get a new group and time after each skate.

U9 DIVISION INFORMATION

The U9 Division is comprised of players that are 7& 8 years old as of Dec 31, 2025.

The U9 Division will host pre-skates prior to evaluations. (Dates to be announced) Once evaluations are completed, participants will be placed on a team based on their evaluations rankings. Pre-skates can start as early as the last weekend in August.  Efforts will be made to ensure teams are at a maximum of 18 players.

The U9 Division generally has one shared practice during the week and one game on the weekend.  A player development session is held once a month during a practice; therefore, practices will not be a set time each week so that teams can rotate through the player development session times booked (practices could be two weeks on a Monday and then two weeks on a Tuesday, two weeks on a Friday and two weeks on a Thursday for example).Full hockey player equipment is required for all sessions.  Please refer to the Parent Portal link for more information on equipment requirements.
